What's Brewing

From Dan at Great Crescent Brewery in Aurora:

We have a new draft account in Lawrenceburg at Bourbons - 1 E. High Street. They have our Mild Ale on tap and will be adding others in time.

From Greg at Lafayette Brewing in Lafayette:
LBC Owner/Brewmaster Greg Emig will be at Barley Island Broad Ripple on Wednesday, February 10, 6:30 to 8:30 pm to participate in BI's guest brewery program. Emig will be on hand as Barley Island taps 3 different LBC brews: Tippecanoe Common Ale, Black Angus Oatmeal Stout and Pipers' Pride Scottish Ale.

We are also in discussions to release our bottled Tippecanoe Common Ale and Black Angus Oatmeal Stout at another prestigious Indy-area liquor store earlier that day. Stay tuned for details. Catch the latest news by following us on Twitter or becoming our friend on Facebook.

On tap at LBC this weekend: Ouiatenon Wit Bier; Prophet's Rock Pale Ale; East Side Bitter; Pipers' Pride Scottish Ale; Tippecanoe Common Ale; Eighty-Five; Black Angus Oatmeal Stout; andWeeping Hog IPA.

From Clayton at Sun King Brewery in Indianapolis:
Thursday, 2/11/10 • Fireside Brewhouse Tapping Party • 7:30 p.m. • Osiris Pale Ale & Sunlight Cream Ale featuring a firkin of Dry-Hopped Osiris

L' Espresso Robusto is now available in the Tasting Room and at Chatham Tap. It is Sun King's version of the Indiana Winter Replicale which is a Coffee Infused Oatmeal Stout. Naptown Brown India Brown Ale is available as of 2/05/10 in the Tasting Room and at Spencer's Stadium Tavern. It is an American Brown Ale that is aggressively hopped like and IPA and is malty, hoppy, delicious goodness! We brewed Naptown Brown in honor of our partnership with the Naptown Roller Girls, so it is appropriately sweet but bitter.

Upcoming beers include Imperial Cream Dream II: Electric Boogaloo, a 9%, 90+ IBU Imperial IPA made with Simcoe and Citra Hops. Poff the Magic Dragon, which is a Red Rye IPA named after Mark Poffenberger, who started by volunteering his time last summer while we were building out the brewery and became our first full time employee late last year. Dave and I created the grain bill and Mark chose the hops. We also have Meditator Dopplebock in the Pink Pig lagering away for release whenever we deem it ready...

Aside from actual beers, we are excited about the arrival of our Canning Line from Cask Brewing Systems which is slated to show up on February 15th. It will take us a week or so to uncrate, set up, wire, plumb and get it all ready, so we plan to begin canning before the end of the month. We won't be able to release our cans until after we receive our printed cans, but we will keep you posted as to the actual release date of Sun King in CANS...

From Corrie at Goose the Market in Indianapolis:

News from the cellar at Goose the Market...

Of course, the Goose is true blue (Go Colts!) but we've got a little red theme going in the cellar these days...

Kasteel Rouge: Okay, the beer has its own facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kasteel-rouge/60517416736?v=info), but sour cherries frame this brown ale with classic Belgian sophistication.
Dogfish Head Red & White: A Belgian wit fermented with pinot noir juice brings citrus at the first sip and a tart, pleasantly chewy finish. Yeah, I was sceptical, too, but it works...really interesting and delicious.
Dry Hopped St. Rogue Red Ale: Woodsy (is that a word-sy?) aromas blend with sugared citrus and balancing bitter hops for a refreshing but hardly boring sip.

Then there are the other colors of the rainbow...

The folks at Etienne Dupont harvested the fruit by hand for this classy cider that's rich and tart with just a touch of those earthy, mushroom flavors. It's unfiltered, unpasteurised, and oh so French. Vive la cidre!
North Coast Brewing Company looked to the far shore for inspiration on Le Merle, a rustic Flemish-style pale ale with lots of fruit up front and a dry, peppery finish.
Breckenridge 471 ESB: From their limited small batch series, this big Scottish Ale warms us up and kicks back just enough.

From the Distributors:

From Krystle at World Class Beverages:

Hair of the Dog Adam, Fred, and Ruth are in!

We’d also like to welcome Crispin Cider aboard.. we now distribute their Light, Honey Crisp, Original, and Brut case beer. Draft beer to come soon.

Bell’s Dopplebock Consecrator and Batch 9000 is on it’s way. The Batch 9000 is warming with dark rum and dried fruit to help celebrate yet another milestone in Bell’s history, offering a wealth of flavor in its Double American Stout body. This is a unique, one-time only recipe and well suited for vintage aging. Keep an eye out for these limited releases that are coming out soon!

Check http://www.worldclassbeverages.com/ Beer Spy for more information or where to find your favorite beer that we distribute nearest to you.
